- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration has set-aside for 100% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business(SDVOSB), Solicitation Number VA-786A-12-R-0014 for design-construction and installation of approximately 1,000 pre-placed crypts at the Danville National Cemetery Section 21 in Danville, Illinois. The SDVOSB contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for the construction of approximately 1,000 pre-placed lawn crypts at existing Section 21, preparation and excavation of the existing proposed site, installation of a new in-ground irrigation system and quick couplers matching existing, and installation of associated gravesite control monuments and section markers. Design and install needed infrastructures including storm water drainage system along with other applicable site improvements. Services shall include survey, geotechnical investigation, design layout. The contractor must also provide, deliver and off-load at the site approximately 1,000 double depth precast concrete burial crypts that are to be installed by the contractor. The estimated cost for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 with a completion period of 365 calendar days after the issuance of the notice to proceed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237990 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. SOLICITATION and AMENDMENTS: Prospective Offerors must obtain copies of solicitation documents from FedBizOpps, which will be available on or about April 6, 2012. By registering at FedBizOpps (http://www.fbo.gov) the Offerors will have access to downloading plans, specifications and amendments. The Offerors must be registered in CCR and have a DUNS Number to download documents. By registering for the Register to Receive Notification list at http://www.fbo.gov, you will be notified by e-Mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Potential Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging any amendments to the solicitation. All SDVOSB businesses submitting a proposal under this solicitation must be certified and verified for ownership and control and is so listed in the Vendor Information Pages database, (http://www.VetBiz.gov) prior to RFP close date to be considered for this award. SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held on April 17, 2012, 9:00 A.M. local time at the Administration building located within the Danville National Cemetery, 1900 East Main Street, Danville, Illinois 61832. The Offerors shall submit questions to the Contract Specialist, but not later than April 20, 2012, at 5:00 P.M. EST. The Government will respond to all questions not later than April 27, 2012, via an amendment to the solicitation.
