Description
The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) intends to continue critical services for Acquisition Support Services (ASS) in support of CENTCOM Joint Theater Support Contracting Command (C-JTSCC) Headquarters, Senior Contracting Official-Qatar (SCO-Q) and Senior Contracting Official-Afghanistan (SCO-A), pursuant to FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. The current contract is scheduled to expire on 30 April 2012. The contract will be extended for six (6) months for a period of performance from 01 May 2012 through 31 Oct 2012. This extension will provide for continuation of uninterrupted services to C-JTSCC, SCO-Q and SCO-A. The current contract W52P1J-09-F-0005 with CACI Federal Inc. provides the C-JTSCC with Acquisition Support Services. Specifically, this contract provides services of contract specialists who have the ability to review contracting policy and to perform pre-award and post award functions. This includes support from acquisition planning through complete contract closeout for a variety of contract types and a variety of products and services. In addition, the contract specialists assist the Government with documenting market research, development and posting of solicitation documents, receipt and analysis of proposals, development of negotiation positions, documentation of the results of negotiations conducted by contracting officers, preparation of award documentation for contracting officer's execution, and preparation of post-award contract administration documents for contracting officer approval. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received within 15 days of FedBizOpps posting. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement in the timeframe required. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source extension described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of Jake Adrian, the Procuring Contracting Officer. Written comments or questions regarding this notice must be emailed to Ms. Barbara Abbas at barbara.j.abbas.civ@mail.mil or Mr. Jake Adrian at jake.m.adrian@mail.mil.
