- Description
- The purpose of this Amendment is to add that this RFI may lead to one (1) RFP for off the shelf projects AND ONE (1) RFP FOR CUSTOMIZED PROJECTS. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire services. Response to this RFI will be treated as information only. The Government will not pay for information provided in response to this RFI or any follow-up information requests. The information provided may be used by the Social Security Administration in developing its acquisition strategy and statement of work. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to exchange information with industry related to its efforts to purchase Online Learning Content Courses covering safety and security topics for SSA and Disability Determination Services (DDS) employees, managers/supervisors or both. SSA seeks information from industry for preliminary planning purposes ONLY. This RFI will allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the government's requirement and to affirm that there is a general understanding of the requirement. This RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. The Government will not pay for information provided in response to this RFI or any follow-up information requests. SSA requests that contractors provide feedback on any major concerns they have with the DRAFT Statement of Work. SSA seeks feedback from the contractors to know if the provided DRAFT Statement of Work is feasible given commercial market practices and constraints. SSA will use the contractor responses to help develop a Request for Pricing (RFP) that may lead to one (1) RFP for off the shelf projects and one (1) RFP for customized projects. Responses from industry MUST be submitted via email to Greg.Shanklin@ssa.gov by March 29, 2012, COB. No phone calls will be accepted. The subject line of the submission should read "RFI SAFETY AND SECURITY SSA." We emphasize that this RFI is for planning and information purposes. No solicitation exists; therefore, requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored.
