Description

Department of Labor Wages Appendix B Appendix A Drawing Statement of Work RFQ Package SF-1449 Cover Letter Scope of Work The project is located on the balcony of Leamy Hall at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Provide all labor, materials and supervision to remove the existing aluminum railing system on the Leamy Hall balcony and provide and install a new code-compliant stainless steel cable railing system in its place. Current railing system is approximately 166 feet long and makes up the eastern (~129' 6") and southern (~36' 6") boundaries of the balcony. Contractor shall submit shop drawings of proposed railing system, stamped by a licensed professional engineer, that is in compliance with applicable International Building Code (IBC-ICC) 2006 and The Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) 2009. Drawing A-1 is included to show the railing design and cable spacing desired by the government. The cable spacing was designed to look gradated. Changes to the railing design as shown on Drawing A-1 will be considered by the government if necessary, but shall be submitted for review and acceptance before submitting shop drawings. Appendix A includes pictures of the project site.
