- Description
- Past Performance Questionnaire Solicitation FDA1101042 The FDA has a requirement for six (6) Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatograph systems. FDA drug groups across the country have always been crippled by slow analysis time due to the complexity of drug work caused by the many different products and different analyses for each product that can potentially be needed. Each sample requires different standards, different reagents, and different methodology. On top of all these factors to consider with a drug sample, then a drug analyst must contend with older USP methodologies that are extremely time-consuming. UPLC technology will shorten the analysis portion for many of the USP analyses making it easier to move to a high throughput lab environment. The instrumentation will be distributed to field office labs to meet the Agency's goal of moving to a high throughput laboratory. UPLC would decrease analysis time for many drug analyses by at least half, allowing the analysts to increase production and reduce analytical time. Please see the attached solicitation.
