Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to issue a Sole Source contract to PatriotVetit IT, LLC for Mobile Positron Emission Tomography/Computerized/Tomography (PET/CT) Services for a base period of 6 months under the authority of FAR 6.302. PatriotVetit IT, LLC is currently providing these mobile services under contract VA246-P-0108 at four Veterans Affairs Medical Centers - Beckley, WV, Asheville, Salem, and Salisbury, NC. This bridge contract shall be placed in anticipation of the award of a long term agency contract resulting from a competitive solicitation. The current contract is due to expire on March 31, 2012. The long-term, competitive requirement experienced unanticipated delays which have set the plan of action and milestones for this requirement behind schedule. Due to these delays, there is not sufficient time to conduct the competitive procurement and make a contract award. These factors have resulted in the need to issue a short-term bridge contract in order to avoid a lapse in service of critical patient care. The applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 621512 and a size standard of $13.5 Million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to future requirements. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement. The Contract Specialist is Ms. Sandra Bennett, Sandra.Bennett3@VA.GOV, VAMC Hampton, 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA 23667.
