Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA. intends to award a firm fixed price contract for a physical vapor deposition system (qty) 1, AJA International, Inc. Sputtering E Beam model number ATC-2200-Hy in support of new and ongoing research projects conducted within the chemistry division of NAWCWD. This procurement will be on a sole source basis to AJA International, Inc., 809 Country Way, Scituate, MA 02066-1700, as the only manufacturer able to produce and provide this product based on form, fit, function requirements. The Sputtering E-Beam System being procured is a hybrid deposition system with both electron beam evaporation and sputtering deposition capability. It will consist of all components necessary to operate the instrument as a integrated test system in a single contained unit. Consequently, the system must have the capability to 1) utilize a modular magnet array allowing for conversion between balanced, unbalanced and magnetic material sputtering 2) ability to deposit film on 1/8" thick iron (Fe) target and 3) stability of thin films at t/-1 degree c. The system must be able to perform E-Beam and Sputtering all in the same system, without breaking vacuum and equipped with a load lock. All deliveries under this procurement will be shipped to China Lake, CA. 93042. Respondents other than the above should submit, at a minimum, a capability statement and any other information considered pertinent to the Contracting Officer no later than (45) days after the publication date of this notice.
