- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F1C0RH2040A001, is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-55. This procurement is a total small business set aside in accordance with FAR 19.502-2. The NAICS code is 335929 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The following commercial items are requested in this solicitation: CLIN 0001 (QTY 3000 linear feet total, 3 reels of 1000 linear feet each) 4/0 AWG (American Wire Gauge), 15 KV, 133% EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber)Medium Voltage Cable for primary Electrical Distribution Specifications: AWG Size: 4/0 Stranding: 19 Insulation: 1.01" Diameter: 1.01" Jacket:.050" Overall: 1.39" Lbs./M"": 1922 Construction: Conductor: Copper alloy 1350 Class B concentric compressed strand Conductor Shield: Thermosetting extruded semiconducting conductor shield which is free stripping from the conductor and bonded to the insulation Insulation: High quality heat, moisture, ozone and corona-resistant ethylene propylene rubber Insulation Shield: Semi conducting extruded thermosetting insulation shield having controlled adhesion to the insulation providing the required balance between electrical integrity and ease of stripping Neutral Conductor: Solid, bare annealed uncoated copper wires helically applied and uniformly spaced - Conductance equivalent to 1/3rd that of main(power) conductor or 100% of main (power) conductor Jacket: Black, sunlight resistant, linear low density polyethylene encapsulating the neutral wires - Outer jacket has thee extruded red stripes for identification purposes Applications: Underground primary cable for commercial distribution circuits Suitable for use in wet or dry locations, installed in underground ducts or direct buried Note: (Qty 3EA) 1000 Feet Reels (Reels cannot be combined into one 3000 foot reel - each reel must have 1000 feet) The government understands the volatility of the copper market. Quotations should include PROPOSED DELIVERY SCHEDULE with shipment to Andersen Air Force Base Guam at address: 36 Red Horse Squadron Unit 14014 Bldg 21016 Yigo, Guam 96543 Quotes must clearly indicate freight costs with expected shipping date and delivery time to address listed above. Place of contract performance is Andersen AFB, Yigo, Guam 96929.
