- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. No Solicitation is currently available. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a construction contract to a General Contractor for Project 640-383, Construction of an additional floor (2nd floor) to the recently completed new Building 51, at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA. It is anticipated an RFP will be released on/about June 25, 2012. At this point in the procurement process, the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine contractor socio-economic category, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a) etc. and, bonding capacity. Interested firms should send, by e-mail only, the following information: Socio-Economic Category; DUNS number; Maximum bonding capability for a single bid and; total maximum bonding capacity. Information shall be sent to andrea.baker4@va.gov by close of business April 02, 2012. Estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Information received will be used in any set aside determination. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 236220.
