Description

Notice of Intent to Negotiate on a Sole Source Basis with Western Shelter Systems The Department of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), Office of Acquisition Management Contracts and Grants (AMCG) intends to negotiate for a Requirements contract on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for Western Shelter and GateKeeper line of field shelters and support equipment (see attached list of equipment) on an as needed basis for a period of three (3) years with the vendor listed below: Western Shelter Systems 830 Wilson St Eugene, OR 97402 USA The sole source justification is based on market research supported by the fact that the intended sole source recipient is the sole distribution method and for their proprietary Western Shelter and GateKeeper line of field shelters and support equipment and is required to replace and support existing emergency shelter equipment of the same brand/manufacturer. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Responsible interested parties may submit information if they believe that they can provide Western Shelter and GateKeeper equipment. Interested parties must provide convincing documentation that shows that they are authorized to distribute the required replacement and or upgrade parts. Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. Submissions should be received by 03/22/2012 by 2pm via email to Forest Crumpler at forest.crumpler@hhs.gov
