Description

The W.G. Hefner VAMC, Salisbury, NC is seeking the services of a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that will provide all labor and materials for the Oncology/Hematology Clinic at Building #21 and Surgical Suite Building 2 floor 3 (OR). Contractor shall perform work for Sliding Glass doors at Non-working hours of the Oncology/Hematology Clinic and removal of two Bi-Fold doors in Surgical Suite (OR). One Bi-Fold door shall be replaced with a swing door and all areas made new where the second Bi-Fold was located and removed. A construction barrier can be installed for works for the Emergency shower during normal working hours, but schedule of work must be submitted for government approval prior to any delivery of material or start of any work. Submittals for approval includes, but not limited to shop drawings for Sliding Glass door, Swing Door and Emergency Shower. Construction work includes the renovation of existing space, modifications to existing water pipes and installation of a drain to the exterior of the building. Demolition works of existing structural for installation of Sliding Glass door, Swing Door and Emergency Shower. Electrical works for Sliding Glass door and Swing Door to Emergency supply and waterproofing of floor at Emergency Shower. New construction shall confirm to construction documents, specifications, and contract documents in relationship to local and state building codes. After award of the contract the contractor shall make a Site Visit to verify all existing conditions. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. All work shall be completed within 30 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection, punch-list, and clean-up. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Solicitation will be posted on/about April 3, 2012. A pre-bid walk-through will be held on or about two weeks after the posting of the solicitation. These dates are estimates. The actual dates will be stated in the solicitation. The deadline for receipt of questions is ten days prior to the bid opening. The Contracting Officer's email address is Courtney.Redic@va.gov. Firms submitting a bid must be registered at both Central Contractor Registry and Vet Biz (CVE Certified). The Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each firm submitting a proposal prior to the bid opening date.
