Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order to Mars Labs LLC; 29 C Street, Laurel, MD 20707-4109. USA Aberdeen Test Center has a requirement for Mars Lab LLC, Circuit Cards, Model BDF, with sensor interface and 16 channels of individually programmable excitation, gain and filtering to replace existing cards in the signal conditioners in order to increase the capability and flexibility of the instrument package. 1: Circuit Cards (Mars Labs LLC): Model Number BDF: Quantity 50 Mars Labs LLC is the sole manufacturer of these circuit cards and possesses the proprietary design and fabrication technology for their manufacture. Mars Labs LLC, does not have any distributors of their products. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334513 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. All responses received within 10 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, 29 March 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based up responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
