- The VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS), Buffalo, NY intends to award a contract for ASU (Ambulatory Surgical Unit) Architect Requirement. THE AWARD OF THIS CONTRACT IS GEOGRAPHICALLY LIMITED TO FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN A 100-MILE RADIUS OF THE VAWNYHS, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215 and is a full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541310 with a numerical size standard of 4.5 million. Award is subject to the availability of funds. The range of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Architect Engineer (AE) Services will be required for renovation of the ambulatory surgical suites (ASU). REFER TO THE ATTACHED SCOPE OF WORK FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS Pertinent factors for consideration of qualifications for the Project Team, listed in order of importance are: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association)in surgical suites/areas or ICU suites/areas, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, and record of working together as a team (3) Past record of experience at Veteran Administration Medical Centers and VA Western New York Healthcare System (4) Location in the general geographical area of the project. (5) Reputation and standing of the firm and its principal officials with respect to professional performance, general management, and cooperativeness. (The VAWNYHS will use contact information in Standard Form 330 to obtain information in order to evaluate item no. 5.) One Standard Form (SF) 330 shall be prepared for the entire team. Example projects which best illustrate proposed team's qualifications for this requirement shall be limited to twenty (20) projects for the entire team. Mail or hand deliver three copies of SF 330's and one SF 330 on CD to Sabrina Brinkman- (90NCO), VA Western New York Healthcare System, Batavia VAMC, RM 106C, Bldg 2, 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020. All responses are to be received by the Contract Specialist no later than 11:30am 3 May 2012.
