Description
The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky has a requirement to for a masonry contractor to provide construction services for Project#603-11-602, Repair Façade Phase I. The intent of this project is to repair a portion of building 1 façade that has experienced severe degradation. Work includes but is not limited to labor, material and site supervision to repair loose and cracked bricks, loose and cracked building stones, loose and cracked mortar joints, rusted lintels, cap joints, spalled brick and stone, stained brick and stone, sealant around windows, failed joint sealant, cracked and spalled window seals. Repairs shall be made using methods such as epoxy repair, tuck pointing, acid washing, caulking, painting or other standard industry or VA accepted practice. Phase I will address the most severed cracked and spalling stone and brick work. NAICS code 238140 is applicable to this requirement. The small business size standard is $14M. This requirement is being set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns pursuant to 38 U.S.C 8127(d). Interested firms are hereby notified that at the time of offer submission, the SDVOSB concern must be listed and verified in the Vendor Information Pages at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. Interested firms responding to this requirement will be verified at the time of offer submission, as well as prior to award. Performance period is 120 calendar days from receipt of Notice To Proceed. The Construction range for this requirement is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation for this requirement will be available for download at the Federal Business Opportunities at www.fbo.gov on or before March 30, 2012.
