- NASA/KSC has a requirement for Applied Meteorology Unit (AMU) Support.NASA/KSC intends to purchase one-month of support (April 1-30, 2012) from ENSCO Inc. as amodification to their current contract NNK06MA70C. A modification to extend servicesfor one-month will be issued to bridge the gap between contract expiration of March 31,2012 and the award of the follow-on contract. The current follow-on contract isanticipated to be awarded by May 1, 2012.The bridge modification is necessary in order to ensure program continuity and support toavoid significant technical impacts to the Morrell Operations Center (MOC) at CapeCanaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS) and the National Weather Service Office, Melbourne,Florida.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. local timeon March 21, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
