- Description
- Solicitation Number W81XWH-10-T-0406 will be issued on or about 26 July 2010 and proposals will be due on or about 30 July 2010 @ 4:00 PM EST. The Government's requirement is to acquire e GMP Peptide (KSL-W). Minimum Essential Characteristics will be in the proposal. This product will be for U.S. Army Dental & Trauma Research Detachment, Fort Sam Houston, TX. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325199. This will be set aside for small businesses. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. All interested parties can view, download and print a copy of the solicitation and any resulting amendments on or about 26 July 2010 at the following website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. CCR registration can be accomplished at the following website: www.ccr.gov. Proposals will be evaluated on a Commercial Firm Fixed Price and any resulting contract will be issued as a Firm Fixed Price Award. POC for this action is Craig.E.Anderson@amedd.army.mil. Contract W81XWH-10-P-0528 is being modified in order to purchase an additional 350 grams of e GMP Peptide (KSL-W). This modification is necessary in order to reduce variability and ensure product safety. This additional purchase is advantageous to the Government because it will allow additional toxicology studies, which will identify degradation in product synthesis and processing. USAMRAA intends to negotiate this modification with CPC Scientific, Inc. in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 43, Contract Modifications and FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items. This notice is not a request for a competitive quote. Competing this requirement and awarding to any other manufacturer and system would result in substantial delays and disruption of several key projects already in progress and would also increase the overall cost to the government. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Government's requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, the additonal purchase will be awarded without further notice. Questions and comments pertaining to this proposed modification shall be emailed to Craig.E.Anderson@amedd.army.mil.
