- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for Replacement of hydraulic oil at the Olmsted Locks. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, and materials necessary to remove existing hydraulic oil from all systems, properly dispose, clean, and flush all systems, and replace with new hydraulic oil in all systems. Approximately 12,000 gallons hydraulic oil. Contract duration is estimated at 30 days. The estimated cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. NAICS is 811310 All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email by 1:00 PM EST on 22 March 2012. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Lock and Dam with similar operating pressures, equipment, proportional control valves, and cleanliness requirements. Power plant utilizing a electrohydraulic control system with a high pressure system with large HPU reservoir(s) and cleanliness requirements comparable to our system. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: 12,000 gallons hydraulic oil removal and replacement c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: Between $250K-500K (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
