The following are descriptions of the two CAUs. Standard CAU (NIIN 015847215, Part #5402300-001, Intercommunications Station) Up to 16 stations per MCSU - expandable via network Access to 1024 assets (32 simultaneously) Electroluminescent display - IR Touch Panel control Multiple Screens / Menus Selectable Hot Mic, PTT or VOX 1 Binaural ANR or non-ANR Military Headset Port with PTT 1 H-250/350 Handset or Headset Port with PTT 1 4-ohm Speaker Output 1 RS-232 Maintenance Port 28 VDC Power (MIL-STD-704D) <10 watts MOPP IV and Cold Weather Gear Compatible No Maintenance or Calibration Required Reliability: MTBF 21,700 hrs - MIL-HBK-217 Size: 5.75" W x 7.125" H x 3.75" D Weight: 2.9 lbs Mount: Standard DZUS Rails Desktop CAU (NIIN 015973067, Part #5402800-001, Intercommunications Station) Portable Option For use in Table-Top Shelter/Tent TOC Environment Handset and two ANR or non-ANR Headset ports PTT Switch 110 VAC to 24 VDC power supply with power switch CAU Bus Port Weatherproof Speaker Protective Cover and Carrying Handle Size: 8.25" W x 11.5" H x 10" D Weight: 9 lbs The parts are currently produced by Sanmina-SCI Corporation who is the original developer of the CAUs and retains all data rights to components. The Government did not purchase and cannot provide drawing packages for these parts. As part of this acquisition effort, the items will be required to meet the same form, fit, and function of the original components to ensure the spares achieve the required performance within the communication subsystem. Contractors capable of providing the above described spares can respond to the government via email at the address shown below. The response must include documentation showing that the contractor is capable of providing the required components deliverable within 90 days of receipt of order. Successful supplier may be required to warrant the items will satisfactorily perform when used for the purposes intended by the Army.
