- US Army RDECOM - ARDEC, Small Caliber Weapon Systems, of Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is conducting a market survey on behalf of PM Individual Weapons, to identify potential sources for the capability of manufacturing and delivery of the 40 mm M320A1 Grenade Launcher (GL), in accordance with the Government Technical Data Package (TDP). The M320A1 GL will replace the M203 GL in the Army inventory. The M320A1 GL will be capable of mounting onto the M16/M4 series of rifles and carbines and/or utilized as a standalone weapon. This survey is to identify and determine if there are sources capable of manufacturing the 40mm M320A1 GL in accordance with the government Technical Data Package (TDP). If a solicitation is released in the future for the M320A1 GL, than the TDP would be provided at that time. The Government anticipates a future contract type to be a five (5) year Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Supply/Service contract with options. The contract shall require the successful completion of First Article Test(s), and ongoing Lot Acceptance Tests. It is planned that the First Article Sample(s) will be submitted to the Government 280 days after contract award. In addition it is planned that monthly production deliveries shall commence within 90 days after Government approval of the First Article Sample. Production Deliveries will be ramped up to a quantity of 500 GLs per month. Capabilities Statement and Documentation: Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data as well as identification of current customers and rough indication of pricing. Any pricing data should be sent, if available. Vendor Questionnaire: The purpose of this questionnaire is to obtain information from industry to assist in market research.
