Description
The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority for FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within ten days after date of publication of this notice of intent. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Global Technologies Group, Inc., is considered the supplier who can supply update services and periodic maintenance for an existing Global Digital Asset Management System (GDAMS) for the acquisition, storage, management, and distribution of still and video imagery. The GDAMS uniquely combines required technical capability in a single, integrated functional package, and office workflow is built around this system. Maintenance of this system is a technologically current status is therefore the key to continued readiness and daily functionality. Update or maintenance of the system by any other source could potentially compromise its operational readiness, would require familiarization time at additional expense, and void our current maintenance contract. Specifically, changes in workflow and software interface characteristics, and the incorporation of new technology can only be accomplished by the OEM manufacturer acting through a designated technical agent. Global Technologies Group, Inc. is the sustaining vendor and is proprietary developer of the complex technical enhancements now required. The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 541512. All responses may be emailed to Jillian Swanson at jillian.swanson@navy.mil and reference number N6676012RC60012 no later than 08:00 EST on 19 March 2012.
