DESCRIPTION: This is a sources sought to determine the availability of potential sources having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform/provide the SPECIFIED REQUIREMENT. All interested vendors are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought including, commercial market information. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a sources sought synopsis only. Questions should be submitted by email to Benford.Brundage@va.gov. Provide only the requested information below. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub-zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, woman-owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors (size standard 100 employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. SPECIFIED REQUIREMENT: VA Southeast Network (VISN) 7 is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide the following: Statement of Work: Paving and Striping parking lot G GENERAL The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision to pave, stripe and install car stops in parking lot G. Service shall be provided at CAVHCS, 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery Alabama, 36109. PURPOSE: To ensure a smooth surface for pedestrians from tripping. SITE VISIT: Bidders are encouraged to visit the site to prior to bid submittal. All bidders shall report the building 14. The site visit shall be for the purpose of observing first hand any conditions relevant to the completion of this contract. No consideration will be given to claims based on a lack of knowledge of the existing conditions, except where contract documents make definite provisions for adjustment in cost or extension due to existing conditions not readily foreseeable. The site address is: CAVHCS 215 Perry Hill RoadMontgomery Alabama, 36109 WARRANTY: Manufacture of material used to apply. SCOPE OF WORK: (1)Contractor to remove approximately 138 car stops for paving in parking lot G and replace after paving. Contractor to broom, tack, and overlay with 1.25 inches of plant mix asphalt, tapered at sidewalks and handicapped ramps. Contractor to restripe parking lot G to match existing parking spaces, stop bars and handicapped insignia. DOWNTIME: All work shall be performed on Saturday or Sunday to minimize impact on patients and visitors. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Vendor needs to be registered with and have a Dunn & Bradstreet number. Also they will have to be registered with and have a CCR number. Hold a General Contractors license in the state of Alabama NOTES: (1)Any car stops (bumpers) and rebar that are broken during removal or installation will be furnished by CAVHCS. (2)Contractor shall furnish barricades to parking lot during paving and painting. (3)Vendor shall ensure that work site is clean of debris and disposed of upon completion of job. Responses must be emailed to Benford.Brundage@va.gov no later than 12:00pm CST, March 9, 2012. Your response should include both the STATEMENT OF CABABILITY and BUSINESS SIZE AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS information as explained below. Please place "Attention: Parking Lot Paving" in the subject line of your email. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
