Description

The Contracting Department, Fleet NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a œBrand Name  Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13, with Central Florida Yamaha. This procurement will be Brand Name due to Yamaha being the original manufacturer of the two (2) LF225TXR Yamaha four stroke 25  shaft left hand engine. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICIATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333618. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies for which NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN) Office intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) (1) (ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This is an exact replacement item part of specified equipment in accordance with the agency mutual aid agreements and regional disaster plans. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by closing date will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
