Description

Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "REPAIRS & REPLACEMENT OF PARTS WORN BEYOND MANUFACTURES STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS THAT MUST BE MADE TO CACHE TRANSFER SWITCH." 1. Title of Project: Cache Transfer Switch 2. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The Cache Transfer Switch requires replacement. 3. Background: REPAIRS & REPLACEMENT OF PARTS WORN BEYOND MANUFACTURES STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS THAT MUST BE MADE TO CACHE TRANSFER SWITCH. The assigned COTR for this effort is Peter Szabo. 4. Performance Period: Firm-Fixed-Price 5. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price STATEMENT OF WORK The contractor shall perform the following: provide all labor, material and equipment to accomplish the following work: 1. Replace existing manual transfer switch with a 400 amp, 240 volt, Nema 1 automatic transfer switch. 2. Furnish and install an 8' x 20' x 4" deep concrete pad for the generator trailer. 3. Furnish and install an 8' x 20' IPI Ready Berm system for fuel containment. 4. Connect 25 foot lengths of 4/0 DLO cable to owner supplied Appleton male connector. 5. Furnish and install CamLok connectors at generator for easy removal. 6. Furnish and install (1) 20 amp circuit for generator battery charging system and block heater. The temporary generator is equipped with an 800 amp breaker. Consideration should be taken to either change the breaker or install a fused disconnect switch on the generator supply side due to cables and equipment being installed is rated for 400 amps. The estimated price for this service is for the cache transfer switch, plus any applicable taxes. Contracting Office Address: VISN 3 Network Acquisition & Logistics James J. Note: Set-Aside requirements, Services (except construction). At least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. Supplies (other than procurement from a non-manufacturer of such supplies). The concern shall perform work for at least 50 percent of the cost of manufacturing the supplies, not including the cost of materials. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (see internet site: http://www.ccr.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received not later than March 8, 2012 12:00 PM. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on FedBid (http://www.fedbid.com/) at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement through Fedbid Online Market Place.
