Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number: W912HQ-12-T-0003 - Request for Quote This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6 -- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number is W912HQ-12-T-0003 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-55. The requirement is set-aside for small business; the associated NAICS code is 712110 - Museums and the small business size standard is $7.0 M. See "Additional documentation" hyperlink to download a copy of the statement of work and other pertinent solicitation information. Description: To create a new space to display the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Museum Collection in a manner that both meets museum standards and best educates and inspires Corps employees and guests, the Office of History (CEHO) needs to obtain a contract with a vendor to prepare the room with new paint, lighting, walls, and floor coverings, and fabricate new structures to use for display. There is also a need to improve the lighting to an existing display case in the same location, to improve the environment and visibility of the displays in that location. Please see the attached Statement of Work for additional details. Site Visit: For any interested contractors, there will be a site visit on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10 am. The location is in the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Building at 441 G Street, Washington, DC 20548. PLEASE NOTE, any contractors that plan on attending this site visit must provide the POC, Sarah Wiley, notification via email (sarah.r.wiley@usace.army.mil) of their intent to attend including the name of the attendee(s) and the company they are representing NO LATER THAN 4 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
