Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD), Joint Project Manager for Protection, intends to award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to HDT Engineered Technologies for specialized engineering and technical services to support the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Decontamination System prototype shelter and heaters for a Form-Fit-Function Evaluation (location to be determined), a System Integration Evaluation, and the JSF Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) at Edwards AFB. Release of the RFP is expected 15 March 2012. A contract with a four-year performance period (base and three options)is anticipated at a value not to exceed $2,000,000. The Government will procure services to ensure effective integration/interface with other system components; analysis and validation of thermal characteristics; repair and maintenance of the shelter and heaters; set-up, tear-down during the evaluations. HDT developed and patented the fiber braiding technology used in the high-pressure air beams that provide the structural support for the JSF Decontamination shelter, and HDT previously manufactured and modified the prototype heaters for compatibility with chemical/biological agents, and developed a heater control system interface that integrates with the decontamination delivery system. Qualified sources may submit evidence that demonstrates their capability and qualifications to perform the specific activities on the systems described above to Cynthia.gnam@us.army.mil by 9 March 2012. Government does not intend to use Part 12 for this acquisition.
