Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Mallinckrodt Nellcor & Puritan, 675 McDonnell Blvd, PO BOX 5840, Hazelwood, MO 63042 to purchase a Somanetics Invos 5100C which includes the following equipment items: (1) 5100C-4CH Somanetics Invos 5100C Cerebral/Somantic Oximeter System and no other existing system has been found that has the capabilities of this integrated turn-key system. Due to the urgent need of this item, a delivery schedule will need to be coordinated and delivered NLT March 9, 2012. This notice of intent to Sole Source is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Vendors who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide this equipment as described above must notify the Contracting Officer at Ronald.Kline@va.gov or FAXED to Ronald Kline at 412-822-3782 NLT March 2, 2012 at Noon EST. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
