Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Kansas Healthcare System (EKHCS) wishes to contract for commercial air freshening units. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 325612 with a size standard code of 500 employees. This will be a Service Disabled Veterans Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside. The Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Kansas Healthcare System (EKHCS) will require 119 air freshening units installed in various restrooms located throughout the Topeka and Leavenworth facilities. The air freshener neutralizes and eliminates all odor-causing bacteria, will leave behind a pleasant scent (provide samples for selection by customer), will aid in eliminating bacteria and odor in the air, and will have intermittent settings (15, 30 or 45 minute) for level of scent for a particular room. The vendor will provide a sales service representative (SSR) to service our location every three (3) weeks. The SSR will replace each individual air freshener, as well as the batteries, at each service. The SSR will check each dispenser to make sure everything is in working order and replace or fix any dispenser. The vendor will provide a service guarantee for the life of the obligation. Contractor shall repair any damage to the premises caused by the contractor, its employees, or the agents. This agreement may be terminated prior to expiration of its term by either party upon thirty (30) days prior written notice the other, in the event of either party being in breach of this contract. All services are to be performed in accordance with Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) rules and regulations as well as all applicable federal, state and local government regulations regarding control of infectious diseases in health care facilities. Any contractors selected for award will be expected to comply fully with these requirements. The suggested firm-fixed price contract will be a base year and three (3) option years. The base year of contract will commence as soon as possible after award of a contract. The contract award basis is scheduled to be a single or multiple award based on offeror(s) responses and their location to the VAMC Facility. The contractor will be required to perform all air freshener services referred to them from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Leavenworth and Topeka VAMC ™s serviced by this contract. Interested vendors should review FAR Clause 52-212-1 Instruction to Offerors for submittal instruction and Far Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items for Evaluation factors for the solicitation. Only vendors registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Veterans Enterprize VETBIZ data base will be considered for contract award.
