- Description
- This amendment removes first paragraph "Synopsis" in its entirety. Additionally, the amendment adds a clarifying sentence to the last paragraph of the "Requirements" Section of the announcement. The revised paragraph is below in its entirety. The main product of CTPD is a fully coordinated revised system specification that represents the operationally durable, total survivable, integrated, and optimized technology suite demonstrated. The Government will use the Combat Tempered Platform System Specification for informing Government doctrinal, material developers and resource managers in making requirements and funding decisions. A fully coordinated Technology Transition Plan and validated metric contributions are essential in obtaining the necessary support to transition this technology and ultimately implement the revised system specification. ------------- Question received in response to BAA: The BAA states: Technology transition is critical for the success of this effort, so it is expected that Offerors have already begun to coordinate the initial CTP solution and Technology Transition Plan with the appropriate PMO(s). The main product of CTPD is a fully coordinated revised system specification that represents the operationally durable, total survivable, integrated, and optimized technology suite demonstrated. A fully coordinated Technology Transition Plan and validated metric contributions are essential in obtaining the necessary support to transition this technology and ultimately implement the revised system specification. What is AATD requesting the Offerors submit with the proposal? What constitutes a fully coordinated transition plan? Government Answer: As with any Broad Agency Announcement, offerors are encouraged to provide the information necessary to substantiate that their abilities to achieve the goals the Government sets out in the solicitation. Offerors responding to this BAA should use their best judgment in providing the information necessary for the Government to determine the state of coordination of their proposed CTP solution with the both the Government and Industry PMOs substantiating progress of coordination, as well as a plan to fully coordinate a TTP during CTPD. Please reference the technical proposal preparation instructions, specifically the areas of Sections 2-5 that discuss transition, as well as the evaluation criteria 1-3 that show how transition will be evaluated for additional guidance.
