- SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: VA261-12-R-0564 Due: Mar. 30, 2012 (est) Request for Proposal (RFP) - Biohazardous Waste Pickup at the following locations: VA Palo Alto Health Care System and associated outpatient clinics, San Francisco VA Medical Center and associated outpatient clinics, VA Northern California Health Care System (Martinez) and associated outpatient clinics. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and appropriately sanitized, disinfected and labeled containers, except for 'sharps' needle containers. The contractor shall also provide all supplies, materials, transportation and supervision required to provide pick-up, transport, incineration and/or acceptable disposition of biomedical infections waste, pharmaceutical and veterinary waste, chemotherapy waste, biological/pathological waste, contaminated waste and Government 'sharps containers'. This announcement is posted to see if any Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) type firms can provide for this requirement; if so, then this requirement may be set aside accordingly. This contract is expected to have a one year base period with four option years thereafter. The actual solicitation should be posted about March 16, 2012 with an expected award date of June 1, 2012. NAICS Code is 562112, size standard is $12.5 million. Product Service Code is S299. Telephone requests will NOT be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing, questions may be faxed to W. Electronic solicitation may be accessed at no cost at www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendment issued against this solicitation will also be available from the same URL addresses. Contractor is responsible for submitting all documents required in accordance with the solicitation, including any amendments which will be posted on this website. Solicitation is also subject to availability of funding. Quotations shall be submitted on an all or nothing basis. Partial quotations will be rejected. Quotations shall be valid for 60 days from offer due date. The Contracting Officer may include any additional contract requirements(s) or terms and conditions determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary for this acquisition and consistent with customary commercial practices.
