- Description
- Addendum 1 564-11-169 Provide New UPS for ADP36, Building 1 Room Change The location for the new UPS will be in the adjoining IT room 35 directly outside the room where the existing UPS is located. Panels and Bypass switches may be located in this room as well. Provide a stand for the UPS and battery cabinet to match a future raised floor height of 12" AFF. Reply to Pre-bid RFI's 1.Please provide 4 pole ATS switch. We may not be able to break the neutral at this time, but want the option in the future. 2.UPS shall be designed for the 30 minute backup time specified. New location will allow this. 3.It is acceptable to locate the Maintenance Bypass Switch and Load Breakers external to the UPS cabinet. NEC clearance requirements shall be followed. 4.The VA will give the contractor the option to have the UPS load bank factory tested instead of onsite. 8 hours with factory witness testing by engineer is acceptable. Contractor shall provide proper documentation of test and results. If the contractor chooses to use the factory option, the load bank breaker may be eliminated as well. 5.A communication card and UPS monitoring software may be provided instead of the Remote Monitoring Panel specified. If the contractor chooses to use the LAN option, he is responsible for providing all hardware, software, and setup required for a complete functional system. 6.Completed system shall meet all UPS manufactures recommendations. Should the UPS manufacture require a larger breaker, ATS, and(or) feeder than the 400A single feed size specified, the contractor shall be required to upgrade as necessary. This upgrade, if required, shall be included in the initial bid price. 7.Change over from existing UPS to the new UPS will need to be done after hours on Friday and on the weekend at a time and date acceptable to the VA IT department. 8.CAD drawings for this area can be obtained upon request from the VA engineering department. 9.UPS and Battery Cabinets will now be outside the existing raised floor area. 10.The floor height is approximately 12" above the sub floor. 11.The required panels shall be Square D, I-Line, with a hinged trim. This panel has piano hinge to allow for maintenance.
