- Description
- Amendment #3 provide answers to the following contractor questions: Q: Are there any specific components for the submittal? Comparable projects? References? Resumes? Cover letter? A: It is the contractor's decision as to the components to submit in response to the solicitation. Items submitted should correlate to the contractor's ability to meet the specified evaluation criteria. Q: Is there a preferred length for the submittal? How much detail is required for pricing? A: While there is no preferred or maximum length for offers, please be reasonable in your response, keeping in mind that this is a simplified acquisition. In terms of detail required for pricing, the contractor must at a minimum provide a price for the 4 line items identified in the combined synopsis/solicitation. Q: Do team members need to have specific experience with the history and archeology of the specific parks? Or is it more important to have experience working with historical and archeological collections? How much detail do you require in resumes about our specific experience?A: Please review the evaluation criteria listed in the combined synopsis/solicitation carefully. As stated, the level of detail required is for the contractor to determine and must provide enough information for the technical team to review and evaluate accordingly. While the contractor does not have to have specific experience with the history and archeology of the specific parks, they do need to have experience working with/planning for/knowledge of these types of collections and how they relate to remote, resource-rich parks. Q: Will the bulk of the work take place in Anchorage or in King Salmon? Can you estimate days in each location so we can better calculate our costs?A: We estimate Monday July 30-Friday Aug. 3 will be in Anchorage, fly out Friday or Saturday Aug. 4 to King Salmon, where we will remain until Friday Aug. 10, when we fly back to Anchorage. We will go to Brooks Camp if the weather permits for a day trip while we are in King Salmon. Q: Will transportation be provided to Brooks Camp? Or is that the contractor's responsibility?A: Transportation to Brooks Camp will need to be provided by the contractor. There is a very slim possibility that the park boat can take the team out to Brooks Camp, but they need to budget for a flight to Brooks from King Salmon. Q: Is any travel anticipated to Aniakchak National Monument? If so, will we need to budget for that?A: No travel to Aniakchak National Monument is anticipated. Q: Should the travel expenses be separate or included as part of the site visit price? A: All travel expenses should be incorporated into the appropriate line item of the combined synopsis/solicitation (i.e. Line item 001). Q: Can you identify specific Issue Statement Chapters that the contractor will be responsible for in addition to "Natural History, Collection History, and Archives" which we understand will be developed by NPS staff?A: The Issue Statement Chapters that the contractor will be responsible for will be jointly determined at the site visits. These chapters are somewhat standardized, but vary based on the museum collection and cannot be completely identified prior to the site visit.
