- This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for the US Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) for Solicitation W52P1J-12-R-0066; which serves as notification to industry for the forthcoming procurement of Rental Car Services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This notice does not constitute a solicitation for proposals. The Government intends to issue Solicitation W52P1J-12-R-0066 in support of the US Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), 831st Transportation Support Battalion (TSB) requirements for Rental Car Services in the UAE. The contractor shall provide rental vehicles that are properly registered, licensed, and comply with all local safety laws, ordinance rules and regulations. Rental vehicles must be no more than two (2) years old, and have no more than 50,000 kilometers on the odometer. Contractors shall provide vehicle options for manual and automatic transmissions. They shall be equipped with air conditioning, front and back seat belts (one set for each passenger), a spare tire, a jack and a complete set of tools for changing a flat tire. All vehicles shall have grade 'A' tires at all times that will prevent bursting especially during the summer. The anticipated date for release of the solicitation is on/or about 08 March 2012. Multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) may be awarded as a result of this solicitation. This solicitation shall be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 5.204, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation shall be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access FedBizOpps to obtain the solicitation and any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them by the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of the same.
