Description
All offerors, be advised that the Government has posted Questions & Answers for offerer review. W15QKN-12-R-F003 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 23 FEBRUARY, 2012 1. Ref. Section B, Supplies or Services and Prices/Costs, Contract Minimum/Maximum Question: We are recommending that the maximum required production rate be reduced to 75 per month, as being a significantly more cost effective rate while still meeting the maximum potential award of 1,970 units. Not to change the solicitation requirement of 150/mo. will result in idle costly capacity, a competitive disadvantage to small business offerors, and the potential for cycles of volatility in production workforce requirements resulting in the potential losses of skilled people. Answer: The Government has reviewed the request to reduce the maximum required production rate per month on Solicitation W15QKN-12-R-F003. In response, the Government requires that production remain as stated in Solicitation W15QKN-12-R-F003. 2. Ref. Page 79 of Solicitation w15QKN-12-R-F003 Question: Page 79 of the subject solicitation contains the following requirement: (5) Past Performance Questionnaire. Where can this document be located? Answer: Item (5) titled Past Performance Questionnaire on page 79 of Solicitation has been removed from solicitation W15QKN-12-R-F003. Potential Offerors do not need to complete the questionnaire. All other requirements in this section remain the same. Amendment 0001 to solicitation captures this change. 3. Ref. Section B-Contract Minimum/Maximum Question: What was the previous price? What is the minimum quantity that Government will buy? What is the chance that the contract may be awarded to Small Business? Answer: In accordance with Article A-4,52.224-4001 Disclosure of Unit Price Information, the Government has not released unit prices on past purchases of the MK19 GMG. Page 6 of solicitation W15QKN-12-R-F003 states that the minimum obligation quantity will be 73 units. Page 3 of solicitation W15QKN-12-R-F003, states that this procurement is unrestricted. 4.Question: What is the possibility of revising bid range quantities to add additional increments? Answer: The Government has reviewed this request and will keep the existing quantity ranges as stated in solicitation W15QKN-12-R-F003.
