- W58RGZ-PMUASFLEET QUESTIONS and ANSWERS NOTE: QUESTION AND ANSWER IS NOW CLOSED AND NO OTHER QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. QUESTION 1: Please provide any technical information available on the Universal Ground Control Station. Who is the O.E.M. receiving your answers in order to facilitate a more complete response from Pinnacle? ANSWER 1: AAI Corporation, 124 Industry Lane, Hunt Valley, MD 21030 is the OEM for the UGCS QUESTION 2: Is the Universal Ground Control Station currently being used on all three targeted platforms (Shadow, Gray Engle, and Hunter)? ANSWER 2: Yes, the intent is that the UGCS will be used on Shadow, Hunter, and Gray Eagle. QUESTION 3: Which agency will assume ownership of system sustainment once the end items are delivered by the contractor? ANSWER 3: By law, PM always retains system sustainment and takes appropriate steps to ensure its success. QUESTION 4: What is the student throughput of the current program (i.e. how many classes per year, with how many students in each class)? Is there throughput expected to remain steady for the purposes of this responses? ANSWER 4: The purpose of the RFI is to take a fresh approach and not be constrained by current processes. The only real constraint is: Classes will start every 2 weeks, 25 times a year. Throughput will vary. QUESTION 5: Will training take place at Fort Huachuca, Arizona? ANSWER 5: Yes, currently that is the case. However, not exclusively, there may be campuses at two other potential locations. QUESTION 6: The RFI states, "Contractor would furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services, and facilities...", please confirm that the USG will not provide facilities and classroom space and that the contractor should include these costs in their best estimate. ANSWER 6: Yes, assume that the Government will not provide the facilities and classroom space. QUESTION 7: Can the USG provide the current Program of Instruction, Lesson Plans, training schedules, etc. for this RFI? ANSWER 7: No. Again, the intent is to take a fresh approach not the same one we're currently doing
