THIS IS AN ANNOUNCMENT FOR AN INDUSTRY DAY TO PERFORM MARKET RESEARCH PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISTION REGULATIONS (FAR) PART 10. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for any information solicited or provided as a result of this notice. The result of the market research process may be used, however, to develop the scope for potential future RFPs. This is not a commitment by the Government to issue an RFP nor pay any proposal or proposal preparation costs. The Government will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an Industry Day participant for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts, data offered for examination, or any other expense associated with attendance. The Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) Contracting Directorate is hosting an Industry Day on 3 February 2012 at 9:00 (EST) on Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. All information presented during this event will be UNCLASSIFIED. The Industry Day will allow the AFDW to determine the range, scope, capabilities and capacity of potential commercial partners to include small businesses to support future Air Force National Capital Region Information Technology (AFNCR IT) Services. See attachment for further information on the scope of current contracted efforts. The AFDW is seeking industry input with innovative ideas, tools & technology, in support of a full range of unclassified and classified mission essential IT services to the Department of Defense users. The Air Force anticipates this requirement will be solicited under its "NETCENTS 2" multiple-award contract vehicle but may ultimately be solicited in any manner consistent with the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Pre-registration for the AFNCR IT Industry Day is required. Attendance at Industry Day is limited to a maximum of 2 individuals per organization. To register for Industry Day, request a One-on-One* meeting with the Government team and submit questions about this requirement email Mr. Sebastian Kaiser-Vu at Sebastian.kaiser-vu@afncr.af.mil with courtesy copies sent to afncr.contract.pmo@pentagon.af.mil and michael.dombrowski@afncr.af.mil. Upon registration, participants will be sent additional details as to specific location and agenda. Emails shall include: 1) Subject line of email: "AFNCR IT Industry Day RSVP"; 2) Organization name, address, and CAGE Code; 3) List of Organization attendees to include name, email, and phone numbers of each**; 4) Organization's request for one-on-one meeting participation, if desired. a. Industry partners from out-of-town locations will receive priority with one-on-one meeting scheduling due to the cost of travel. This does will not exclude any industry partners from scheduling one-on-one meetings with the Government. One-on-one meetings will be scheduled on a first-come-first serve basis. b. The Government is seeking to foster dialogue with industry on new and innovative ideas/approaches to meet its requirements but does not want purely marketing presentations. Registrations by telephone will not be accepted. Security clearances are not required for this event. The deadline for submitting registrations requests is 31 January 12 to allow sufficient time to process visitor requests for base access. *All registered participants are asked to submit proposed questions in advance of Industry Day to Mr. Sebastian Kaiser-Vu at Sebastian.kaiser-vu@afncr.af.mil with courtesy copies sent to afncr.contract.pmo@pentagon.af.mil and michael.dombrowski@afncr.af.mil. ** Ensure all attendees bring a valid driver's license for identification purposes at the base main gate. If any of the attendees are not U.S. Citizens, please include this in your registration email, as he/she will need a military escort to receive access onto the base.
