Description
PROJECT DETAILS: TX NPS/PRA IMR PRES 1(12), Texas National Parks Pavement Preservation This project consists of one schedule and 9 options. The project consists of conducting 1R Pavement Preservation project at the following locations: •· Schedule A - Is for Lake Meredith National Recreation Area for 16.74 miles of roadway and 112,384 square yards of parking and camp site areas utilizing various pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, cape seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option R - Is for Chamizal National Memorial for 0.45 miles of roadway and 11,006 square yards of parking areas utilizing pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option S - Is for Guadalupe National Park for 7.10 miles of roadway and 24,879 square yards of parking and camp site areas utilizing various pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, cape seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option T - Is for Fort Davis National Historic Site for 0.38 miles of roadway and 5719 square yards of parking and camp site areas utilizing various pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option U - Is for Amistad National Recreation Area for 5.45 miles of roadway and 81,393 square yards of parking and camp site areas utilizing various pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, cape seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option V - Is for Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Site for 13,635 square yards of roadway and parking areas utilizing pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, cape seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option W - Is for Padre Island National Seashore for 9.39 miles of roadway and 199,510 square yards of parking areas utilizing various pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, cape seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option X - Is for Lyndon B Johnson National Historic Site for 6.49 miles of roadway and 24,930 square yards of parking and camp site areas utilizing various pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, cape seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option Y - Is for San Antonio Missions National Historic Park for 0.24 miles of roadway and 14,164 square yards of parking areas utilizing various pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, chip seals, cape seals, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. •· Option Z - Is for Big Thicket National Preserve for 1556 square yards of parking areas utilizing pavement preservation techniques. This includes micro-surfacing, patching, crack sealing, and pavement markings. Weather Limitations for Surface Treatments - May 1, 2012 to September 30, 2012 Significant quantities include approximately 697,600 square yards of Chip Seal, Surface Treatment 1C and 2C and an item for CRS-2P Emulsified Asphalt. Area for Micro-surfacing Type 2 and Type 3 is 453,200 square yards and 64,000 square yards respectively within this item is a subsidiary cost for CQS-1h. It is anticipated that this project will be advertised in early March, 2012 with construction beginning in May, 2012 and extending through September, 2012. Estimated cost for the base schedule and option is $4.5 to $8.5 million.
