Description
NOTICE: Intend to Award as Sole Source. Concert Hall Requirement for the United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own", located at 101 Bloxton Street, Fort Myers, Arlington, Virginia 22211-1225. Note: This notice is provided for informational purposes only. DESCRIPTION: The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), on behalf of the US Army Band (TUSAB), Fort Myers, VA, has a requirement for a concert hall to conduct their Annual Anniversary concert. The following has been determined as minimum requirements needed: The enclosed concert hall must be located in or around Bethesda, Maryland; it must have formal decor and space for both the musicians and over 1,900 patrons; have a concert stage with a minimum of 3,000 sq feet, covered loading docks, a freight elevator, and covered parking space along with metro line access for patrons. Other requirements include: ticket office service, Onsite security staff and police, changing rooms, as well as wheel chair access to all seating levels. The subject requirement is in support of the United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own". The MICC intends to award as sole source to the Strathmore Hall, 5301 Tuckerman Lane, Rockville, Maryland 20852-5150, for the timeframe of March 10-12, 2012. The Strathmore has been determined the only source deemed capable of fulfilling this requirement, due to the unique nature as provided by the United States Army Band. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Vendors may submit a capability statement which shall be reviewed by the Agency. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the contract specialist below no later than 22 February 2012 at 2:30PM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firm's ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist, MICC ATTN: Robert A. Hughes Sr., 9410 Jackson Loop, Suite 110, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5116. No telephone responses will be accepted. Responses received will not be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, MICC will proceed with the sole source award. NAICS: 711310
