- SOURCES BEING SOUGHT FOR NRM PROJECT 629-12-105 The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System is seeking sources of contractors which have the requisite experience and ability to perform the design- build project described below. In accordance with Public Law 109-461 the VA will set this requirement aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business if sufficient qualified sources are identified. If the SDVOSB sources are insufficient to ensure a competitive procurement then the VA will set aside for Veteran Owned Small Business if sufficient sources are then identified. If neither category of set asides provides for sufficient competition then the VA will consider set asides to the other categories of small and disadvantaged businesses unless the market provides that we must solicit full and open (to include large business) in order to obtain the requirement though fully competitive methods. Solicitation method is likely to be sealed bid. All interested parties should respond to this notice so that we may identify qualified sources and determine the appropriate method for this solicitation. All firms eligible to receive federal government contracts and interested in this requirement should identify their interest by describing their capability to design and construct the items required as defined in the CLINs listed below. Also include the socioeconomic status for which you are registered and certified in and include some brief examples of similar projects performed by the firm. Your responses must include this announcement number and be delivered to the e-mail address elsewhere provided in this announcement or delivered to : Robyn Calliham, Contracting Officer Network 16 Contracting Office 1515 Poydras St. Suite 1100 New Orleans, La 70112. Fax responses are not guaranteed to be accepted and the Contracting Officer will not be responsible for any fax correspondence that cannot be located. Responses will be reviewed up to the date of publication of the solicitation, but the acquisition method will be determined by March 9, 2012. Please provide the requested information prior to that date. DRAFT REQUIREMENT CLIN 1 Provide all labor, tools, materials, supervision, warranties, design, etc. needed to design/build the project to correct security issues identified for the IT Communication Closets in various clinic locations of SLVCHS, to include installation of smoke detectors, local intrusion alarms, door replacement. Work shall be accomplished in accordance with VHA ITOC Security Standards and be completed within 150 days after notice to proceed. CLIN 2 NRM 629-12-105: Provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supervision, warranties, design services, etc. needed to design/build the construction of a Biomedical Equipment Server Room located on 3H in the H Quadrant of 1601 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA. Project will include installation of all HVAC, electrical, interior finishes, and security requirements to set up this room to house servers for Biomedical Equipment. Project shall be accomplished within 90 days after notice to proceed. CLIN 3 Provide design/build services to include all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supervision, etc. to design and install wireless networks for patient care areas in Urgent Care Center (1601 Perdido Street), Ambulatory Procedure Unit (2237 Poydras), Baton Rouge North and South Clinics, Slidell CBOC, Hammond CBOC, and St. John CBOC. Work shall include all cable and antenna installations and servers as required. Work shall be accomplished within 120 days after notice to proceed.
