NOTICE TEXT: This announcement is open to all businesses seeking opportunities with the above listed Districts. USACE, SAD is hosting its 4th Annual Regional Small Business & Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Conference, 20-21 March 2012. The Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 60 Forsyth Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30303-8801. This outreach event will provide a venue for SAD to discuss its mission, goals and contracting opportunities with SDVOSB, Small Business, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, HubZone, and the large business community. Large businesses will have the opportunity to connect with viable small businesses. Large businesses registered to participate in the one-on-one matchmaking sessions, will provide a five minute overview of their company during the general assembly on 20 March 2012. Connecting large businesses with small businesses avails more opportunities on future SAD requirements to identify subcontracting opportunities for small businesses. Companies desiring to participate in this outreach event must have the capability to provide, but not limited to Design, Construction, Construction Management, Environmental Services, and Civil Engineering (to include Dredging) capabilities for SAD. Registration will begin on 17 February 2012 and will close on 13 March 2012 at 5.00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. To register for the for SAD 4th Annual Regional Small Business Conference, please visit (http://sadsbsdvosbconference.eventbrite.com) to successfully complete your online registration. There is no cost associated with participating in this conference; however, all participants are required to register for the conference. To gain access to the conference center, each participate must have a valid state issued photo identification card. Participates are strongly encouraged to arrive 1 hour prior to the start of the conference in order to clear security. A maximum of 2 participants are allowed to register for the conference as representatives for their company. Entrances to the Sam Nunn Federal Building: In order to facilitate an orderly and timely entrance into the federal building conference area, participates are encouraged to enter into the conference using either one of the main entrances: The primary entrance is located at 60 Forsyth Street, SW. The preferred entrance is located on 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30303-8801. Hotel Accommodations: Participants are responsible for their own hotel accommodations. The hotels that are located within walking distance of the conference are the Westin Hotel & Resort, 404-659-1400, the Hilton Atlanta, 404-659-2000, or the Hampton Inn & Suites 404-589-1111. Tentative Agenda: An agenda for the conference activities will be posted at each district (Charleston, Jacksonville, Mobile, Savannah, and Wilmington) Small Business webpage on 22 February 2012.
