- The following are clarification questions and answers. All other information in the original combined synopsis/solicitation remains the same. QUESTION: Is there are required delivery date? ANSWER: Yes - the delivery date required is May 15, 2012 QUESTIONS: I was curious bout some specs of the 30' gooseneck trailer. i was wondering if the 30' length was an overall length which would include the 8' gooseneck, or if it means 30' of box area plus the 8' gooseneck. ANSWER: The trailer we are asking for is a 30 foot overall length. (30 foot complete length. QUESTION: Is the Department interested in additional ceiling height above the requested 7'? ANSWER: The NPS does not want to change the requirement. QUESTION: Is the Department interested in baggage doors in the nose? ANSWER: The NPS does not want to change the requirement. QUESTION: Is the Department interested in increasing the thickness of the exterior skin or using fiberglass in lieu of aluminum? ANSWER: The NPS does not want to change the requirement. QUESTION: Is the Department requiring a spare tire and wheel assembly? ANSWER: No QUESTION: Please describe what is meant by # 15 "48" exterior risers ATP (Aluminum Tread Plate)"? ANSWER: 48 inch exterior aluminum riser in the front area of the trailer as a stone guard QUESTION: Will an awning be required? ANSWER: No QUESTION: Will any non-skid flooring be required? ANSWER: No QUESTION: An inverter is called out in the SOW. Is an inverter or converter required? Inverter transforms 12v to 110v, a converter transforms 110v to 12v for lights and furnace blower? ANSWER: The NPS would like to operate the trailer lights and heater both ways 110 volt shore power and 12 volt trailer power. QUESTION: Can you advise if a steel frame trailer with aluminum exterior panels will be acceptable? ANSWER: The steel frame trailer with an aluminum exterior panels is acceptable.
