Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request for Quote; (RFQ) the solicitation number is F2V3F82034A002. This acquisition is set-aside for 100% Small Business. The 6 th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida, requires the following: Fire truck repair. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT : CLIN 0001 Tear down of Fire Truck and detailed quote for repair to include estimated return to service CLIN 0002 Repair/Truck will be returned to serviceable, roadworthy condition in accordance with attached specifications. CLIN 0003 Repair Labor Costs CLIN 0004 Parts (provide parts and price list) CLIN 0005 Transports Costs to and from MacDill AFB MANDATORY SITE VISIT (Quotes will not be accepted without attendance): The site visit will be held on Monday, 13 Feb 2012 @ 1300. Interested parties must contact SSgt Tim Sloan at 813-828-1674 or via email at timothy.sloan.1@us.af.mil no later than (NLT) 3:00pm on 10 Feb 2012 in order to attend. All parts must be OEM or Equal, please provide only a quote that has OEM or Equal parts. If parts are considered equal when quote is submitted, the proposal will be sent to the technical advisor for compatibility verification. The following salient characteristics are required: All parts must be OEM or Equal. NOTES TO OFFEROR: • Questions will be due by 16 February 2012 at 1400/2:00pm ET. Answers to all questions will then be posted on FedBizOpps by 17 February 2012. The following Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS) clause applies and is incorporated in full text: 5352.201-9101 Ombudsmen. (AUG 2005) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerer's, potential offerer's, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
