- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR part 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items found at FAR part 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/ ). The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is N00244-12-T-0097. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. The NAICS code is 331111 and the Small Business Standard Size is 1,000 employees. This procurement is competitive, 100 % set aside for small business concerns. Basis of award will be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price contract as a result of this RFQ. This requirement is to acquire the following: 1. Ballistic armor material, qty: 120 each and 2. Anti-spall jacket cover system, qty: 5 each. The attached copy of the solicitation contains a complete description of supplies and applicable provisions and clauses. The government is seeking for new materials only. All responsible Businesses capable of meeting the requirements of the solicitation are encouraged to respond. The announcement will close on 17 February 2012 at 2:00 p.m. PST. Pre-bid inquiries shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Claudia Aguzar via e-mail at email address: Claudia.aguzar@navy.mil. Mailed documents will not be accepted. Proposal submitted via NECO website will be ignored. Offers will be accepted via email. All quotes shall include price(s), FOB point, a point of contact, name and phone number, business size, and payment terms. Central Contractor Registration (CCR): Contractors must be registered in the CCR database to be considered for award. Registration is free and can be completed on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/ and/or call 888-227-2423 for registration assistance. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter ineligible for award of a contract/purchase order. Ensure compliance with this regulation when submitting your quote.
