Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. In accordance with Federal Acquistion Regulation (FAR) 10.002(b)(2)(1) this notice is issued for the purpose of market research. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are potential SMALL BUSINESS with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The information received will be used to determine whether to issue the proposed solicitation as a competitive set-aside or whether to issue as a full and open competition (unrestricted). THE EXTENT OF THE WORK WILL BE DESCRIBED IN THE SOLICITATION which will follow thereafter. THIS NOTICE IS NOT TO BE MISCONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL (RFP). PROJECT INFORMATION: This project involves architect/engineer services for a new medical/dental building at the Tongue Point Job Corps Center located in Astoria, Oregon. The new building will be a single-story building totaling approximately 5,200 gross square feet. The work shall also include abandonment of Building No. 19. Work related to Building No. 19 shall include the blocking of all entry points and the termination of utilities service. Also included are miscellaneous site improvements such as general landscaping, roads, parking, drainage, connection to all utility lines and site/security lighting. The work shall be designed and constructed to comply with the requirements as established by the Guiding Principles for Sustainabiity or similar high performance goals. A formal LEED Certification is not required. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 541310, and the Small Business Size Standard is $4.5 million. All interested parties are invited to submit a Capabilities Statement to Ms. Olivia J. Thorpe, Contract Specialist, US Department of Labor, ETA, Division of Job Corps A/E Construction Services, Room N-4649, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20210. You may e-mail your submittal to thorpe.olivia@dol.gov. Also, please include your DUNS number in your submittal. Submittal should include three (3) projects that are comparable to the work that will be required for this project. Provide a point of contact for each project listed. Responses are due by February 21, 2012, 3:00 pm, EST.
