- Description
- The Fargo VA Health Care System, Fargo, North Dakota requires a contractor that has the performance capability for Project 437-11-RO2, Replace Building 40 & Connecting Link Roof. Contract completion date is 120 days after notice to proceed. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors. The estimated dollar value is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. A 20% bid bond will be required at submission of bids. To be eligible for award, SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following sites: www.vetbiz.gov, www.orca bpn.gov and www.ccr.gov in order to submit an offer. Provide all material, labor, equipment, etc. necessary to complete the construction of Fargo VA Health Care System project 437-11-RO2, Replace Building 40 & Connecting Link Roof, in accordance with the contract documents. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to: removing the existing ballast, membrane, coping cap, counter flashing, overflow scupper flashing, and all concrete pads used for service walks and ballast. The new roof shall be mechanically fastened to the existing roof. Existing insulation is to be reused. The new roofing system shall consist of a new 60 mil, fully adhered EPDM membrane roofing system, new base flashings at parapet walls, roof to wall joints, and mechanical units, new prefinished metal coping cap and counter-flashing around roof perimeter, new pre-molded pipe boots at all penetrations, new EPDM walkway pads in existing walkway locations and overflow scuppers work. Under no circumstances shall the exit pathways to or from the building be blocked since the exits are required for emergency egress. All work shall be in compliance with all applicable NFPA, NEC, Life Safety Code, UFAS, OSHA and other pertinent code requirements. This is NOT the actual solicitation. The solicitation will follow at a later date, and will be available at www.fbo.gov on or about 17 February, 2012.
