Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for PM-IW New Equipment Training (NET) Videos for the M14 EBR and M150 RCO. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal is conducting market research to identify potential sources to provide support for the following two (2) Programs: (1) The U.S. Army Product Manager for Individual Weapons (PM IW) requires an instructional video that adequately explains and trains the intricacies of the M14 Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR). The M14 EBR was developed in response to the large number of Operational Needs Statements (ONS) submitted for M14 rifles in order to support the role of the Squad Designated Marksman (SDM). Updates to this enhancement include a 3.5-10x variable powered mil-dot scope, forward pistol grip, Harris bipod legs and rails that can accommodate necessary ancillary items such as lasers and flash lights. It is of vital importance that the user understands how to properly employ this weapon in order for them to use it to its full potential. The aim of this instructional video is to provide expert training in a way that is captivating and leaves the end user confident in their ability to use the M14 EBR. The training shall address all elements and capabilities of the M14 EBR including but not limited to: Description of operator controls, proper mounting and zeroing of optic, basic range estimation using Mil Dot scope, weapon operation (loading, clearing, unloading, firing), proper weapon and scope maintenance, theory of operation (cycle of operations), malfunction trouble shooting procedures and assembly/disassembly of the weapon. (2) The U.S. Army Product Manager for Individual Weapons (PM IW) requires an instructional video that adequately explains and trains the intricacies of the M150 Rifle Combat Optic (RCO). The M150 RCO was designed for the M4/M16A2, M16A4, and the M249 SAW Machine Gun to provide the War Fighter with quick target acquisition at close combat ranges while providing enhanced target identification out to 800 meters utilizing the Bullet Drop Compensator (BDC). It is of vital importance that the user understands how to properly employ this rifle optic in order for them to use it to its full effective potential. The aim of this instructional video is to provide expert training in a way that is captivating and leaves the end user confident in their ability to use the M150 RCO. The training shall address all elements and capabilities of the M150 RCO including but not limited to: Tritium safety, characteristics & components, PMCS, proper mounting & operation, Zeroing, Eye relief, Target reference system/Bullet Drop Compensator (BDC), Bindon Aiming Concept, Ballistics, Wind effects, Moving targets and Preventative maintenance.
