Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Bell Boeing Joint Project Office for the fabrication, test, and delivery of Organizational Level Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) end items and program plan for the CV-22 Aircraft. These PSE end items are currently being designed under a contract with Boeing, and there are no drawings or technical data available. The Tow Collar, Nose Landing Gear (NLG) consists of two primary assemblies; an upper ring assembly; and a lower ring assembly. Each of the aluminum alloy ring assemblies will consist of two mating halves (to allow installation over the NLG piston tube assembly). The tow collar is used to tow the V-22 aircraft, which may be accomplished using a tow bar with a tow tractor or using a spotting dolly. The PSE to be procured under this acquisition are in addition (follow-on) to the PSE procured under each appropriate contract. The Government intends to procure this effort under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. Any challenges must be received within 15 days of publication and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract. The point of contact is Michael T. Miller - michael.t.miller7@navy.mil.
