Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award to Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Amarillo, TX a sole-source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-12-G-0006 for V-22 upgrades to Proprotor Gearbox. Bell-Boeing will perform Atmospheric Protection Improvement Non-Recurring Engineering, resulting in a reduction of corrosion related Proprotor Gearbox removals. The effort is estimated to be complete by 31 September 2012. These requirements will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Bell-Boeing is the sole developer, designer, manufacturer of the V-22 aircraft. As such, Bell-Boeing is the only responsible source with the necessary access to the technical data and requisite expertise to perform the contemplated effort with the required schedule.
