- The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) seeks to lease the following space: Space Type: General Office Min Net Usable Sq. Ft: 2,500 / Max Net Usable Sq. Ft: 2,750 Parking Spaces (Total): 14 Parking Spaces (Reserved): 2 / Parking Spaces (Surface or Structured): 12 Delineated Area: City limits of Martinez, CA Full Term: 10 Years / Firm Term: 5 Years ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Offered space must meet Federal and State Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. The space shall be fully serviced. The space shall not be in the 100 year flood plain. Brokers or legal representatives must show written acknowledgement and permission to represent the property. The lease space shall be located on a street served by a main bus line and shall have a bus stop not more than 2 blocks from the building; Space shall not be next to a bar, liquor store or like establishment; Space shall not be located near a residential hotel; and Space shall not be located near an area where it is known that illegal activities occur such as illegal drugs sales. Expressions of Interest Due: February 17, 2012 no later than 4:00 PM SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Net usable square feet does not include such areas as stairs, elevators, mechanical and utility rooms, ducts, shafts, vestibules and public corridors, and public toilets required by local code. The Government is limited by law (41 C.F.R. 102-73.55) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. All interested parties shall respond to this announcement no later than the above Expressions of Interest date and shall include the following: Building name and address Location of available space and date of availability Rentable and net usable square feet rental rate/ psf, specifying services and utilities "As built" floor plans of offered space Parking ratios Proximity to 150 Muir Dr. Martinez, CA (VA Outpatient Clinic) Contact information of authorized representative Electronic and hard copies shall be sent to: Department of Veteran Affairs Attn: John Paul Niega, Contract Specialist 975 Kirman Avenue Reno, NV 89502 Johnpaul.niega@va.gov RESPONDENTS ARE ADVISED THAT THE VA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY TO AWARD A LEASE BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND THE VA WILL NOT REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
