Description

Contractor required to provide Part Time Orthopedic Surgeon services for the VA Black Hills Health Care System, Fort Meade, SD. Work will include performing operations and procedures one day a week. Procedures performed in the operating room include carpel tunnel release, trigger finger release, mumford, rotator cuff, knee arthroscopy and shoulder arthroscopy. A typical number of cases in a day would include minor procedures (2-3 per day). Contractor to provide consult clinic visits two half days per month, approximately 10 patients per half day. Contractor tour of duty is 7:30am to 4:00pm. Clinic half days will be scheduled 8:00am to 12:00 Noon. Specific schedule stated may be adjusted with approval of Surgical/Specialty Care Service Line Director. Contractor to be board certified (board eligible will be considered) Orthopedic Surgeon. Contract will be for a base year plus four option years commencing upon date of award. This procurement is for full and open competition under the NAICS code of 621111 Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists). The solicitation will be available on FedBizOpps.gov approximately February 15, 2012. Receipt of proposals are due March 15, 2012 by close of business 4:00pm MST. No faxed or e-mail proposals will be accepted.
