Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA, on behalf of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source Hubzone Set-aside contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to TORC Robotics, 2200 Kraft Drive, Suite 2050, Blacksburg, VA 24060 for the purchase of an Autonomy Subsystem for the USMC Program of Record (PoR) Internally Transportable Vehicle � Light Strike Variant (ITV-LSV). Additionally, MCWL intends this contract to include engineering, installation, integration, test, maintenance and support for the Autonomy Subsystem. Previous U.S. Government-sponsored autonomy efforts have defined an autonomy architecture that will be implemented for this autonomous ITV-LSV. This autonomy architecture consists of five (5) interrelated subsystems: an autonomy subsystem, a perception sensor subsystem, a �drive-by-wire � subsystem, a power subsystem and a logistics support subsystem. The Government intends to implement a �cooperative teaming � approach in the development of a fully autonomous capability for the PoR ITV-LSV, teaming with the Contractor and academia, hereafter referred to as the �team �. When augmented with the subsystems listed below, the PoR ITV-LSV shall be referred to as the Autonomous ITV (AITV). This Autonomy Subsystem shall be one part of a larger effort to provide a fully autonomous ITV-LSV to MCWL experimentation during FY13-FY14. The estimated contract value is$1.7M. Delivery of first CDRL is due 120 ADC. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 441330, Engineering Services. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for this requirement, and past performance data within thirteen calendar days of this posting, by MIDNIGHT EST, 12 February 2012 to Arlene Fitzpatrick at arlene.fitzpatrick@usmc.mil.
